Went to Milan yesterday

Couldn't hook on a full slick tire?!? I remember the days of spinning at the track and dead hooking on the roads on the way to the track... Really frustrating! You are definitely making more power at least so that's cool!

Sledder....that's fast and a wheel up!
Thanks. Seems like every time i went up they were mopping the starting line. I didn’t see them heating the surface. Just mopping and dragging the track. Think they were spraying some too.

One of the reasons for removing the EFI from my car was to remove weight from the front to help balance the weight bias. I weighed my car and the difference between the two is a solid 40lbs. My car weighed 2760lbs minus driver. After the swap it’s 2720lbs. I’m a bit surprised as I didn’t think it would be quite that much but I’m not complaining.

Re-weighed my car yesterday. It came in at 2740lbs with all four wheels on the scale and 1340lbs with the front wheels just off the scale. This gives me 51.1% on the front and 48.9% on the rear. These are good numbers considering it still has cast iron heads. It’s getting aluminum heads over the winter as well as some other tricks to lighten the front even more. This makes me happy going into winter knowing that when it comes out next season I will have achieved my goal of a well balanced setup. This will make tuning the chassis easier.

on the latest Roadkill Garage .. Freiburger used Wilwood Drag brakes on the Crusher Camaro and took 40 lbs off the front

Saw that. Those brakes aren’t recommended for street use though. Non-vented rotors that warp easy. PLUS they are crazy expensive!

That's a hell of a light and pass but you got sniped at both ends! Damnit! Last race out my cousin pulled a .003 light and lost to a .001 light. Dead on ET's... It's a crapshoot sometimes!

Honestly my lights weren’t great. I had red lit on both of my time trial passes so I was being conservative during eliminations. Since I was one of the slower cars in the class I was hoping my opponents would red light trying to run me down. Worked great first round. Anyways, On this pass I broke out. I have a weather station that I use to keep an eye on the conditions. I was in the lanes and the weather got better than expected and the DA dropped a bunch without my knowledge. The weather got too good and I ran under my dial by .002+. I ran 13.02/13.04/13.08/13.02. The DA varied from 2247 to 2822 on those passes.

Went racing last night. Made four passes in total. The weather wasn’t too bad and the car ran pretty good and was predictable. Though it was leaving good and picking up the front wheels on each pass I kept thinking that maybe it was spinning the tires a little. It felt like it was trying to leave hard but the 60’ times weren’t what I thought they should be. I wanted to make a rear shock adjustment but was already messing with carb jetting so I didn’t wanna change too much at once. By the fourth pass the track was getting ready to close so this was going to be my last pass. We softened the rear shocks by “one click”. Nothing else was touched. The car had a 1.699 60’ on the pass before. I adjusted the shocks from “5” to “4” and the car left good and had a 1.672 60’. Not too shabby. Team Z and QA1 make great products and I highly recommend them.
