Well, I got my new car...

another vote for the all black....


and i would have held out for the zr1 man. those cars are just unreal. i had a hard time walking away from it at the auto show. seeing it in person just blows the pictures away.

congrats on the new car though.

While all black looks sweet, when its time to change tires or get a flat fixed, all black rims will get scraped on the tire machines.

Chrome lip for practicality.

Just take it to a respectable tire shop, if they take there time and actually give a shit about your wheels it will be just fine

Dude i worked at Belle Tire. Its a runflat 30 series. Do you realize how much FORCE it takes to mount them.
I would watch ryelou work on tires and there is only so much care you can give to a tire/rim that needs 300 lbs of force to mount them.

Hey guys,

Here is the final look I decided on for my Z06. All black like we talked about, but I will be adding one more thing to set it apart from most of the other all blacked out Z06's. I will be adding a red stripe around the wheel. What do you think?

Now, where the heck do I get this red stripe and how exactly does it go on? I have asked the owner of this car and hoping for a response soon.

And yeah, that looks better than all black...but still not as good as all black sitting on chrooooooome. :cool:
 
yup. Can't wait. The only thing that car is missing is the blacked out tail lights and balcked out signal covers..:)
 
Fadi, you will either paint those stripes yourself, or have some one else paint them on for you.

And I sensed some JDM(rice) flavor coming to this car..... The JDM guys are all about red stripes on their wheels.
 
I will have to show QC Coatings these pics and see what they think / can do. I really like that stripe on there, especially because it will differentiate the wheel from the tire.
