A mysterious figure named Darko
here it is when i bought it a couple years ago. Engine was a stock 350 with a huge cam, stock heads, and a tunnel ram with 2 holleys. Got it home and found out it had a wiped out cam lobe and thats why it wasnt running properly. I bought it mostly because the car was all original steel and had just about no rust anywhere.
I pulled that engine out and installed an engine i found in someones backyard in somewhere out in the BFE...i think memphis?? We pulled the thing outta the ground for $100 and got it back, cleaned it up and ran it on 7lbs all summer with the new blower setup I bought.
had a lot of problems with the fuel sump constantly sucking air, but got that sorted out and it was a fun car.
got rid of the stupid junk all over the car and got a set of new wheels for it.
basically the hole was already in the hood...and I really hate having to to get paint work done.........so the blower was the logical next step :nuts:
When I bumped the boost up to 14psi the stock pistons didnt handle it and I cracked the ring lands on cylinders 5&7. Still ran for a while after but i was misting out of the valve covers pretty bad. I pulled the engine out and decided to clean up the front subframe since it was looking pretty awful.
one thing led to another and i basically stripped everything off the car
stripped and undercoated the bottom
painted the firewall
had all the hard parts powdercoated
bought all new protouring suspension/steering/brakes
built a new rear end
got a ridings trans built
built a stout engine
I got busy and the project sat for a year looking like this
I only got some crappy cell phone pics since i started working on it in this last month but its coming together. I got the engine/trans in, most of the brakes/hydraboost done, and steering done mostly.
