WELL?...ANY DEER THIS WEEKEND?

Well they're sold out. I can still get one with the bow though, eh? That picture Iposted was taken right below the tree stand....
 
I had a few doe come in, that's it, it was warm sunday and of course the corn is still up!!! they are ALL in there, watched a few go in and never came out of the stalks, drove me nuts, I wish I could run a combine!!!
 
I have TONS of deer in my backyard. On Friday I looked out the window and saw a 10 point and a 6 point standing next to each other about 15 feet from my house. Tons of does, lots and lots of buttonhooks. Last year during hunting season I counted over 20 deer outside my house. Just last night I looked out the balcony sliding door and there was a doe laying down right there. She sleeps there sometimes......too bad I cant shoot them and eat them. I guess I can settle looking at them. Its pretty cool considering I live 1 mile down the street from the biggest high school in Michigan.
 
I haven't had a chance to get out yet, I hope to this weekend.

My cousin shot a nice 8 pt on the opener, I'll try to post pics tomorrow. His inlaws have some nice land, he shot that nice 8 pt, seen two decent bucks mixing it up a bit and another nice buck after he shot his. I guess he has video of them so I'll try to get that once he gets it off his camera.
 
The first two are my cousins buck, the last three are pics of a buck said to be taken in auburn hills at the chrysler test track. :dontknow: but either way it's a monster.

Bow season is to boring...I am going to wait till gun season and than it's GAME ON!!!!! I just sighted in my new ithica deer slayer and I am ready....

BORING? WTF? Your ass needs to pick up a bow!!! I love firearm season, but bow is magical stuff !!! I just sold my mathews sq2 to a friend, but I would've givin it to you just to show your ass how boring bow season is !!!

I myself typically don't start hunting until later in October - most the leaves are off by then (easier to see around), it's cooler out (no bugs, more comfortable when wearing a full camo suit), and the rut is beginning (deer are moving around much more). Looking forward to getting out there again soon though.
 
I bow hunted and the way my luck went everytime was my casters squeeked or the arrow hit a twig, or the stand creeked....something happeded and the deer would look right at me and wave by to me!

I don't see how you can stand waiting:laugh: we saw a couple rubs up our drive already! hopefully we'll get a cold snap, it was really laid back last weekend, deer were just bedding all day, and were'nt realy interested in much, I used a fawn bleat just to see if the doe's I seen would come in, they did'nt even give me a second look, coulda cared less.

take care of those squeeks before you go, and practice your shots and movements at home and that won't be much of a factor, and spray your feet with arrid extra dry scentless before you go!!! especially if you wear rubber boots!

you can get private land doe permits over the counter all you need is $10.00 and the land owners phone #.......your allowed 3 a year...........BLAST AWAY!!!!
