weird starting issue

lol thanks. i have a warranty on the piece of shit so ill change it out today and see if that helps. just sucks bc i have to take off the pass header to get it out. damn tuned flowtechs:mad:

If you had a mini starter you wouldn't have to take them off...

Prob says that in the dirrections of the headers as well to use a mini starter. Heat soak might be a big issue in your future if you continue to use the big one.

Just return it since its "new" get your money back and go get a mini factory one. They work awesome

I had this same problem, I didnt think it was the starter because it checked out, but after 3 different starters (junk reman/ rebuilt)it was fine and still is 4 years later (bought a NEW one), the starter can be failing under a load ? just my 2cents

Starters junk. Reiko's post about it testing fine under a free load, and not working properly under the load of your engine, which probably has more compression than a stock engine etc, is correct.

Get a mini hi torque starter from Reiko for $70 and call it a day!

would love to but it seems like a waste. (the starter i bought.) if i took reiko up on that deal then i would have a new starter that would prob fail agian due to heat soak sitting on a shelf. reiko if i return this one and get the new one you want it? lol :buds:
