Weeknd trip that doesn't break the bank?

BTW: this is a picture of M119...this is pretty much what it's like the entire way, only with a number of hills and tighter turns

I THINK that's the road we used to ride for the Zoo-De-Mack?

Looks nice. My favorite drive, that is similar looking, is M26 to Copper Harbor.

M26 USED to be my favorite driving road until I found this one. I love that trip between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor, but this was just such a unique, fun driving road...as long as you don't get stuck behind assholes doing 15 under the speed limit and remember that it IS a two-lane road (so bias towards the right on the more blind sections, you'll have a great time on it.

Just went tubing down the Rifle River, it was a lot of fun. Took about 5 hours to float down. Bring lots of beer and sunglasses, on any warm weekend its a huge floating party. :)

Yeah, better than m26 would be awesome then. Although, this girl I'm going with is from Virginia, and supposedly the best driving road in the world is there(Blue Ridge Pass), haha, she won't be impressed.
Looking at Grand Haven now, not too long a drive.

Also up that way is the ausable river.. lots of fun canoeing and tubing. There is a place you can rent from in MIO called Hinchman acres.

I talked to my traveling buddy, and she likes Hocking Hills, OH a lot. For a weekend trip, it's pretty far though. Anything like that a bit further north? haha

lol yeah its a drive but my girl loved walking through the waterfalls and the tourist stuff, old train ride, ect ....... maybe a long weekend kind of thing

Yeah, the girl I am going with loved the idea, but it was just too far. She is driving to Milford Friday to pick up a new Buick Enclave(borrowing it) and then coming back to Grand Blanc before we are even leaving. So we won't be gone til around 5, and then driving 300 miles is a bit much, haha. Then having to come back Sunday. Doesn't leave much time. A long weekend would be perfect, the place looks awesome. If I come back on intern next year, I would go there for sure.

You mentioned Cedar Point, have you ever been to Put In Bay? The ferry from Port Clinton near Sandusky is easy and a nice boat ride, and even just a day trip is fun and just enough to see the island. But, if you like night life it's a plenty fun place too!

Well I would vote against Cedar Point, if cost is an issue.

I was just up there less than a month ago. 3 Days 2 nights @ breakers (passes included) = $500, Food & drink while there = $200, Lock rentals+pictures+misc entertainment= $150
Total $850

More than we were looking to spend, but wasn't unexpected. The beds at that place were horrible. I was glad to see my own once back.

If your in to hiking, you can plan a canoe ride down any river with a 2-4 hour hike back instead of the buss ride.

Yeah, Cedar point was expensive. We drove there and back in the day.

We've decided on Grand Haven, as long as we get the hotel booked in the next few days. I'm only 20, so I can't...

Cheese Burger festival in Caseville! Its next month though, not sure how much time you have! Its a great time
