For those who have heard about the accident that happened at the track this weekend please read this and stop feeding into the rumors.
Let's get what happened straight, because I was actually there. The corvette was behind my GF in line in the staging lanes. The Watson car was testing out his trans brake or something in the lanes, when something let go and he hit the vette. The vette to avoid hitting my gf's car and me and my buddy next to it, hopped over to the open staging lane for a different class next to it. At the point, the Watson Mustangs throttle got stuck open/driver hit wrong pedal/ not positive because we weren't in the car but all we heard was their blower screaming and I looked up and saw the mustang blow past me at full throttle with its nose into the back of the vette. That Caused the vette to then hit the pink mustang and two other cars.
please stop with the rumors.
Both drivers were over the age of 65 and neither were "dicking around". Why the mustang driver thought he needed to test the TB in the staging lanes is beyond me. Everyone involved walked away from the accident with only minor scratches and that's all that matters

Well there you go. Thanks for the first hand report. Mostly glad no one was physically hurt. Metal and egos can be mended.
Thank you. Always another side to these stories.
Lotta truth here. That was irresponsible even if it is a common occurrence.Testing the Transbrake in the staging lanes IS MOST CERTAINLY WITHOUT ANY DOUBT EVER........ "DICKING AROUND"
It's beyond stupid.
Being over 65 has NOTHING to do with it. Garlits is making passes at 84.
Whoever was "not dicking around" testing the Transbrake in the staging lanes should have their comp license voided.

FS: 2015 Mustang GT runs 8's...needs a little TLC - $1 (Michigan)
Good fixer upper.
Fastest car in the staging lanes. (or was)
8 sec. capable until last Saturday
Just be careful with the throttle ( sticks a little)

Why the hell do you have floormats in a racecar? The #1 thing you do before going to the track is to remove the floormat and anything else loose in the interior of the car.
When I read the article I started laughing and remembered one of the first things I was told at my very first track event...remove floor mats and any loose items. And when was the last time there were floor mats in any purpose-built track car?
I smell a serious case of CYA.
