water pump question

To start off the car I am working on is a 91 Mustang GT. Well I was getting ready to start my new setup today but ran into a snag when I went to put coolant in the system it would spill out pretty much as fast as I would pour it in. Seems there something not right with the water pump and timing cover I am using. The car that the motor came out of was a 95 GT so I had to change the timing cover over to a fox timing cover which I did. The cover I put on it is a carb timing cover but the water pump is for my 91. Is the fact that the cover is a carb cover and the water pump is off of a efi setup be my problem? I just find it kind of odd it would be because all of the mounting holes seem to be in the same place. Any help would be great and thanks again.

Ehhhh if my memmory serves me correct the water pump is different. I believe the gasket does not seal in the same places. If its coming from the timing cover area there isnt much else it could be unless its draining down from the tSTAT housing.

Thats what I figured but I thought I would ask. I was looking on autozone's website and they list two differnt part numbers for carb and efi setup's.
