Was all this really needed?

I with you on this. How many kids are carring guns and shooting people up.
I might have thought a bit diffrent if this 14-16 year old didn't rob me. He looked innocent enought, thought he was comng up to ask me a question, next thing i know i have a .40 in my face.
Kids now-a-days are out of control. Police are forced to do what the parents don't do because you have some tree hugging ****** that says you shouldn't spank your kids. And threaten to call SS.
Yeh I was thinking those skateboarders were just about to rob somebody too...

Come on now this was in the middle of the day in a busy town type area. The cop knew there was no real danger besides him looking like a total douchbag.

Correct. I cannot argue in favor of the boy being held down by his throat in the begining of the video as i'm not sure what led to it.

I'm more referring to him placing the girl in a choke-hold after declaring she was in violation of city ordinance and her running.

I respect Police and admire thier willingness to put themselves in danger to serve. But that doesnt grant them immunity from professionalism. These were just kids...skareboarders or not. His own actions and attitude contributed in escalating the situation when it should have been the exact opposite.

Guilty until proven innocent. Excellent thinking...

Isn't that what your doing seeing the vid without see what led up to the whole thing?
I don't care if they killed the cop's dog because he is being paid to be a professional not the 13 year old kids. The guy was completely out of control and I hope he's picking up garbage within a few weeks.

I never said anyone was right or wrong. I just said kids today are out of control, and police and everyone else is left to deal with the issues and problems they cause because there's no disapline.
Like the big ass dent in my truck, or the eggs all over the front of my house along with everyone else on my block. Just innocent kids out doing nothing at 3am.

Perhaps you should move?

Your thinking comes from a school of thought that I just do not understand.

If an assault riffle is used to kill someone, should they all be banned?

You were held up by a 14-16 year old (are you guessing, or did they catch him and you know this? same with your truck?) and therefore project the idea that all kids are vile scum brought into the world without morals or social responsibility.

Yep the kid coming across the street in broad daylight robbed me infront of 10 witnesses too. Anything can happen just because you hold a skateboard doesn't mean your not a douche bag.

Yes they caught him along with the other work id's he had in his possession from other people he robbed, Yes i seen the kids running from my house and chased them down. They actually lived the next block down.

Something about 3 in the morning hearing your windows like someone is breaking into your house gets you up real quick

And no Guns shouldn't be out lawed everyone should own one who has the mental capacity to handle one

I own many guns have a CCW. Actually i lived (or lived) in a good neighbor hood. Used to be all old people here. They all died or moved

can't carry at work. I would have been dead. Like i said I get asked questions all day long people approching my work van. So as he's stepping off the curb I'm thinking he's going to ask me a question, out comes a glock and in my face it goes, then in my side, asked for my wallet and i gave it to him (actually had no cash in it) one of the people he robbed before me he shot twice for having no money on him. I was lucky that day.

I wouldn't say the kid you ran into is a very common case. And I agree you probably wouldn't have done anything different if you had your piece because it sounds like this punk was pretty trigger happy and might have shot you even if he thought you were going for one or felt it when he was trying to get your wallet. I might have pulled it out as soon as he turned his back and made sure he wouldn't be robbing anyone anymore but who knows.

I sent an email to the address from the video and it came back. I'll have to dig up an Arkansas police email address I suppose.

[email protected] is probably the best bet.

Police are taught that its extremely important to completely control the environment they enter for their safety. They have no way of knowing how "good" any teenager is, or how they may react, or what they may be carrying in their pockets.
Cameras don't always show the whole picture.
heres a example, if i can get it attached properly.
