***WANTED*** Powered Subwoofer for my garage.

Crazzy_Al

Mr. Hair Gel Overgeller
Like the title says, I'm looking for a powered subwoofer for my garage. Does not have to be pretty or fancy (will likely be hidden) it just has to work well. MUST BE POWERED!

I'm in the process of finishing my garage. I hooked up my Bose stuff in there. With the insulated walls and ceiling it rocks in there. Fuck the cars I'm making a night club!!

Sorry for the hijack.

How much do you want to spend? I see some on Amazon for like ~120 new. Not sure if there are any right now but they run specials.

whattya mean by powered? ive got a little bose one that just gets hooked up to the speaker wires. it sounds good and id let it go cheap

That would be powered by the stereo's amplifier. I'm looking for one with the amplifier already on it. Thanks though.

I have an Acoustics Research powered sub. I think it was 120 Watts. Used to be in my Living room but upgraded last year. I had it just run from the subwoofer output on my receiver. It sounded pretty good most of the time. Once in a while I would have a scene in a movie overpower it and you could hear it distort some.

I don't have the serial number but I am pretty sure it's this one.

I know I paid almost $200 for it when I got it new. I could probably let it go for $75.

Thanks Tony! And thanks for also delivering it to me at my work today. It works great.

Glad to hear Al! And no problem. Proabably rocks with all that concrete in the garage to reflect off of.

Yep, It's sitting in the back corner of the garage behind my toolbox and atop a couple of old 16" x 16" microfiber towels. Out of sight but certainly NOT out of mind. :D Thanks again.
