Wanted: Ford street car/project car (see thread)

Mostly interested in T-birds, Cougars, LTD, Fairmont, Mark 7's, etc. Let me know what you have. I'd like something in running condition. If it needs a few things or little projects thats fine I'm willing to work on it but I don't want a car that is completely disassembled; not looking to build from scratch/no rollers.

Ideal candidate cars would have:
*347, 351W or larger motor
*Heads, raised compression ratio over stock, intake and matching carb
*Some suspension mods
*8.8 rear end
*Auto trans

Note that above are only ideal, I understand all offerings may not have everything I'm looking for

Budget is 5.5k

Yeah I wouldn't pay more than 1k for that primer thing. That 94 cobra looked half decent but never saw any detailed pics. Keep in mind, I found my 97 cobra and picked it up in your current price range. It had a spun rod bearing but the body and interior were/are in very good shape. The deals are out there on nice cars. Just make sure you have the cash to jump on them when they come around.

The OP said hes looking to spend no more than 3 grand and both are well over 3 grand..

Strut tower rusting out along with 1/4's,chassis is done on that 92 GT ..Will take a few grand easy replacing the strut tower rails and 1/4's because they are shot..Cobra looks like a good deal but the guy doesn't return emails or messages..I tried contacting him here and through craigslist because I was interested..

I talked to the guy that owns the 82...Its a solid/rust free car that runs/drives and needs a paint job with a little work..On top of that,it has ALOT of $$ in bolt-ons and comes with a bunch of extra parts..Only reason I passed on the 82 was it would of been a pain in the butt getting my 5 year old in/out of the back with the cage..Other than that,I would of bought it and put the back seats in it..No offense taken and good luck to the OP..

Thanks for all the suggestions. Nothing really has peaked my interested yet. Really would like to stay away from Mustangs. I'm willing to go to 4.5k now for the right car.

I think I was being to vague with what I wanted in my original post. I updated the first post to better reflect what I'm looking for.
