I am just seeing if anyone has a nicely built AOD or AODE...maybe a Powerglide?

As stated, my TKO is faceplatted, which means there are no synchros in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. The others are still synchronized. This transmission is built for banging gears.

I would include everything for a complete swap - bellhousing, Exeddy sintered-iron clutch, Motorsport Aluminum flywheel with replacable contact inserts, BBK adjustable cable, shifter.

I have ALOT of money in this setup and it works flawlessly. I am in the process of making a few more changes on my setup (88mm turbo, intake) and expect it to make much more power than is usable through a 5speed. It was already ridiculous with just over 600rwhp. The car went sideways at 60mph on the expressway just rolling into the throttle...I really need an automatic at this point, but would like to keep overdrive if possible.

If nobody is interested, I'll just keep it and we'll see what happens:icon_mrgr

does this shift the same as a proshifted trans? How streetable is the faceplated trans, i've had pro shifted tranny's and the street use is like 0

The face-platting is MUCH better on the street than pro-shifting. My car is primarily a street car. Once you get the hang of it, you can actually shift this trans just as smoothly as a synchroed tranny when putzing around town. But, when it is time to bang some gears, this thing is the way to go.

I wouldn't even attempt to drive a pro-shifted tranny around because no matter what you do, you'll never get clunk-free shifts in everyday driving.

yeah i had a pro shifted trans in my notch and streetability sucked!! always banged gears i hated it, are you only looking for aod's or would you consider a rollerized c-4? is it a tko 500 or 600

I'm really not interested in putting a c-4 in the car. I could have done that a long time ago. I really want overdrive if possible.

If I were going to settle for no overdrive, then I would just go all the way and put a powerglide in the car. This thing would LOVE a powerglide:wink:

ps. its a tko500 with Liberty's hardened gears that are supposed to make it alot stronger.
