Had a salesman come in to my office..which i normal just blow off..but with tough times..anything that can save money im willing to listen to..and i found this some what intersting.. from my understanding they are basicly a supplier of natural gas to consumers and DTE/MichCon..apperently you cant switch to them for your personal unless your business does first..blalba...anyways gave me a print out of the last year prices..there prices were seem to be 18% cheaper then Consumers and 13% cheaper then DTE/MichCon..and december was actually 28% cheaper..so if its legit that got my attention.. apperently your bill stays the say just changes there supplier name on the bill.. no long term agreement..no penaltys or fees?? sooo wheres the fine print that im missing..i was never aware you were able to switch your natural gas suppiler so again..im :headscrat

Something like this happened to me a while back. They showed all the fancy numbers and all the savings from the previous years. But it actually ended up costing us almost double per month. I would do an extensive search on the provider name.

Here is a link on the company that did the scam in our walled lake area years back.

This is a link from the gov website showing the sites from the energy companies.

^^ Heh, that's who that first link is about

They're a scam. Same goes for Universal Energy and probably a hundred others.

Yea the only way to get discount energy is if your low income. The gov makes dte an consumers sell the energy at night to a company when it is cheaper to produce and then they sell it to welfare and low income people while we all have to pay the premium.

My father-inlaw was through one of those deals and his was actually cheaper than mine (PER 100 CUBIC FEET) at like $0.80 for his and $0.85 (averaged for a year) for mine.
But then DTE/Michcon lowered there price quite a bit and I was lower that him for a while. When he tried to cancel, he got the run around. He had to wait for them to mail him some paper work. Then he had to mail it back and it took like 2 or 3 billing periods to change back to DTE/Michcon.
I'd say overall he saved a little bit but not worth the hassle to get out of it.
He was locked in at I think $0.80 while I was paying.
