The cam is a custom deal set up by Scott Brown @ Straightline Performance in Okemos, MI.

Probe made the pistons. They are a 9cc dome and since they had a ton of meat in the pockets they worked out great seeing how we had to cut .070" out of the intake and .030" out of the exhaust (now have net of 5.2cc's). I used them for several reasons: They are made from the same material as CP and other top piston manufacturers, they use the same equipment CP uses which is second to none, and Mark gave them to me for a fraction of what it should cost (basically 8 pistons for the price of 2 :) )

thanks for the info!

Is it a stock block or??? what kind of shift point? I love the way it sounds when you put it on the 2 step.

Its a B50 block, so pretty much a stocker with a tiny bit more material. Every year it gets torn down and never has there been one bit of cap-walk. Also, running it N/A helps to keep it from splattering its guts all over the track. There are quite a few guys out there spinning these blocks to 8500+ PRM without failure, but again they are also N/A cars. This block gets a bad name by people puting shitty tunes on them and expecting them to live.

I launch the car at 7000 RPM and shift at 7200. Next time out I will be raising those points a bit starting at 7200 and shifting at 7500. Hopefully it will get it done.

During this trip, the car went a 1.38 60ft leaving at 6700 RPM and then I changed it to 7000 and it went a 1.33 60ft. I don't expect the 60 to get much better but the 330 and 1/8 need to pick up a bit.
