Its not the rods that will break, the bearings take more abuse with the steel rod then the alum rod. If you go through the motor after about 20-30 passes you can make a steel rod live for a long time. Alot of pro mod guys and 10.5 outlaw guys use a steel rod.

20-30 runs??? im not pulling my motor every 20 or 30 runs, thats too much. is that what your gonna do?

You dont hit yours hard enough to have to do that, once I turn both kits on I will, I'm just doing to to play the safe side. I have customers run 2-3 seasons with out pulling a valve cover on big nitrous motors. I dont have the money to put this thing back together if it comes apart, so I'd rather be safe then sorry ya know.
