Very impressive collection getting auctioned this weekend...

Ones that have been driven sell for more than the original price? Is 300k really that hard to believe on one? Where's DBK at? He can probably give a better estimate on that than RM, LOL.

I'll bet it goes over that too. My buddy has 3 and he calls them his 401k. It's the only late model car that comes to mind that seems to go up in value.

GT prices have skyrocketed, that car will probably go for $500K. MSRP was like $125K back in the day and you can't touch that price now even on higher mileage cars or ones that are all modded. Do a search on Autotrader and see for yourself.

Part of the reason that GTs went up instead of down is that they were never replaced. Had Ford done an all-new car for 2008+, the 2004-2007 cars would never be worth more than MSRP. If rumors are true that a new Ford supercar is in the works, I could see the older cars taking a small hit in value as current owners trade up to the new ones.

Plus......IT'S FRICKIN BAD ASS! Nothing like it. Really.

I'm a Ford guy for sure. So I would just like to add to the comment about the GT price achieving 4x msrp. And they did it without pushrods too.

Where's you're LS god now? LOL

the ls cars are back down here in the real world where the average joe can affors one lol. Gts are a class all in its own for sure.

It's very hard to judge what will happen at any given auction, especially at one where an entire collection is being liquidated. On the right day, I can see that car going for $375k, which would be the high water mark that I have seen for a non-Heritage car. I don't think there is any chance it goes for less than $300k, but I could see $310-325k hammer. I am never a big advocate of being a buyer or seller at auction because on either side of the transaction the fees make it significantly less attractive (unless you get someone hammered drunk way over bidding, which is why all auction houses have a wonderful selection of alcohol). As an 06 4-option car, it would have been $166k new. There are huge variations in price based on mileage and paint scheme. I sold a Red GT and a Heritage GT on the same day earlier this year, and the difference in purchase price between the two was well over $200k, while the sticker price difference was probably $10k.

I always thought GTs would ultimately be worth more than MSRP, just not nearly this much more this fast. People that own them love them. One of the only cars where it's extremely common to find people that have more than one, only difference being a paint job.

If you need one, I can help you with that....
