v-8 into '99 s10, anyone done it?

I've got a '99 s10 with a bad 4 banger (rod knock I think, 206,000 miles). Any way, this truck is lowered with rallyes and everything works. It's a cool little truck. I was thinking of rebuilding the four banger and tubo-ing it someday, but just wonder what the real cost of a V-8 swap is. Just a stock-ish V-8. A/C, fuel injection and all accessories would have to remain intact. Has anyone here in Motown done this swap?

Go ls maybe a 5.3 if you want to do it on a budget and have a simple setup thats reliable and quick.i did an v8 swap on a 87 s10 blazer 2wd but it was the standard sbc swap but it was simple.check out v8s10.com

I should still have long tube headers and mount for a sbc for sale, I'll dig them out if you're interested
