How hard would it be to swap a 306 over into my mustang that is a v6? I know alot needs to be done, i am just woundering what are some things i will run into... My step brother have a 306 and i was thinking with in the next year or so i would do the swap..

Find a clapped out v8 car to strip for parts. Things like accesory brackets, steering shaft, etc start to get pricey one part at a time. but a non running v8 rust bucket full of parts for $500 is a good investment for a swap like this.

If it is carbed than it wouldn't be too bad. fuel press reg, ignition, exhaust, and it all depends on if you want it as a DD...

yea its going to be a DD i dont want to get to crazy with anything. Just a nice set up that will start everytime and be taking for nice days...something to play with

if you want a good DD than I would check on here or at a junk yard for a fuel injection set up. You will need the harness, computer, distributor, upper and lower intakes and fuel rails. There is probably a few guys on here that have almost all that stuff they want to off.
