i've never done this, but I have a 02 saab 93 that has a sticky cam chain tensioner causing a a rattle in the engine. I've never done anything like that, and wonder whats the best way to go about doing this. I was told to drain a quart out of the engine and add a quart of kerosene. Let it run for 10 minutes then drain it all out and fill it with new cheap oil with 1 quart of it trans fluid. Let it run for 15 minutes, then drain out and add regular engine oil.
or should I get one of those oil additives and drive it for a week?
