using a front plate with no mid plate

I've heard of a lot of people doing this, but it seems like a lot of strain since none of the drivetrain is supported from the front of the engine all the way to the back of the trans. It would be a real clean easy setup without a midplate

I run a ft plate and no mid plate , but I do have a limiter , to keep the engine and trans from moving ft to rear
I talked to Keith at skinny kid when I bought my plate and limiter and he said it will work fine but it's not the best way to go

yeah i heard of the limiter. What kind of trans mount do you use?

any pics of the limiter? im running a bbf with a front plate and no mid with a solid trans mount and have been quite leary about it!!

Keith said ......... NEVER run a solid trans mount.
he told me, face to face, use a stock GM rubber mount. And that's what he sells with his cross member kit and every car he builds leaves the shop like that. He sells poly and solid trans mounts, because some people just won't listen to him!

That's was good enough for me, took a stock mount with the kit when I bought it
