Universal Tube Flaring Kits

I"ve been looking to up my tube flaring game to include some of the other bubble flares and quick connect flares. I've been looking at the Mastercool hydraulic kit, mainly because that's what keep popping up in searches. Their master kit looks pretty comprehensive, and they have add-on dies that work with the same hydraulic forming tools, so that's a plus as well. I am going to do a fuel line repair on my truck, and the pieces of repair line I"ll to adapt all the fittings it $45-60, so that starts to pay off a $300 flaring kit, and I'll have other uses in the future.

Anybody have their stuff? Is it decent, or if not, what are you using? I do not plan to work with stainless line, just the softer stuff.

Also, WTF tool do I need to make this type of fitting for fuel filters?

IIRC that o-ring side is a saginaw flare.

Cool, how do you form it? looks like a combo of a GM fuel line flare, and partial single flare to keep the o-ring on.

I have the Eastwood style and love it. I also purchased the 37 degree AN/JIC dies. I love it. The tough part is that it has to done in the vice.

saginaw is done single step, place tubing in die, pump handle

That's what I needed to confirm, that it can do Saginaw. I think they call it GM Flare, but needed to make sure they were note referring to gm/Chrysler fuel quick connects. Now to find o-rings....

Another friend has the kit (just confirmed it was the Mastercool kit) and has used it on almost exclusively stainless, and it's held up well. Probably going to pull the trigger on one soon, then probably get the AN/JIC dies later as needed. The Dorman repair pipes I need to piece a repair together was over $50 and I have 2 more joints in the system, if not 3. I don't use the stuff often, but I don't mind investing in good tools.
