You have to be on unemployment for a specific amount of time befor they request records(6 months or more?). The proof needs to be marginal from potential jobs. There really is no accountability for this....which is sad!

You can file the job search online. Once your done just print a copy. Easiest is just sending your resume to craigslist ads that way you have proof you sent something. If you actually need to find a new decent job, Monster.com or Careerbuilder.com are good. I think as long as you provide something they have no reason to investigate anything.

You have to prove work search after a certian amount of time. If you do it manually, by mail, you only have to provide 2 employers per week. If you do it online, you have to provide 3 emp's per week. The form requires: name, address, phone, contact person, and the outcome of the attempt. It HAS to be turned in BEFORE you file for your benefits. I did mine online because it was easier, cheaper (no paper, no stamp) and its documented immediately.

do yourself a favor and do your MARVIN thing online. Your not strapped to your one hour window....and you can easily get through instead of calling and calling. It takes less time too. You answer all the questions on one page and you dont have to keep confirming your answers.
