Pics from this years Utah Fast Pass. Utah Highway Patrol sends some very cool troopers and the last night there is a charity auction for their fallen heroes fund. They give you a speeding "ticket" for your speed on the track and I got the highest speed again this year @ 167 mph. The next highest was a Cobb GT-R that went 149. It was a good time but I got sandblasted and ended up killing a bird with my windshield.

The owner of this car vintage races it all over the place. It's a real GT40. Last year as soon as he left the UFP, he loaded this car up and went to race it at Petit Le Mans. Insanely good driver.

Hmm...where have I seen this car before?

Oh, that would be here, crossing the line at a certain race:

This car has a built motor and a centrifugal blower. I was told that it was donated by a participant in a prior year and the police insurance company wouldn't let them use it for regular duty, so they use it solely for this event. Bummer. It was fast.

If you like Ford stuff, you HAVE to go see the museum at Miller Motorsports Park some time. They have an insane amount of multi-million dollar cars. They've got the 1-2-3 car, the Andretti MKIV, a ton of original high dollar Cobras, one of the 6 Daytona Cobra Coupes, etc. The Cobra and the Mark IV alone are probably worth 20-25 million.

Greg Miller told us this story about how they had this car and Mario Andretti had come to the museum, and he got in the car, put his hands on the wheel and you could just see all the memories from the race 40 years earlier come flooding into his mind. That's a pretty priceless experience.

I hope this works because these pics are from my facebook and I'm not sure if they can be linked.

Awesome pics. Congrats on the highest speed!

Do you just pass out rides that like? If so, I'll pay for gas (hopefully it's pump gas )

I don't really pass out rides, but it is a car, and it has two seats, and as far as I know, having a passenger is not illegal

I've got 3/4 of a tank of 110 left.

Nice. There was a red GT at the 13 mile lot last night. He had a bunch of kids getting their picture taken sitting in the passenger seat. And I think he was revving it up a few times. Sounded pretty good.

Having nice things is cool but doing things with your nice things is the coolest. +1 to you and the others that push their cars to the edge. Looks fun as hell!
