Twisted Wedge

I didnt mean to just throw them out there like that. It was a key factor in the story. For a second I forgot who my audience was. But, how quickly I was reminded!! You guys kick ass.

Twisted Wedges are very good as mentioned, especially out of the box. Depending on how much you wanted to spend, you could get a worked over set from Fox Lake, TEA, or from several others.

The only thing I might recommend differently would be the camshaft. For some reason, the E303 responds very well to Twisted Wedges. I know of several people who ran that combination netting high 11's and low 12's on motor.

I may have missed it, but what intake is he running?

BTW, you're awesome. Will you marry me? haha, j/k.

E303? That cam is like 1 step above stock.

I say go all out and get him the X cam with some new pistons.
I sold my E cam and went with the X and I couldn't be happier.

The stage 1 Trick Flow cam would work very well in that application. No clearance issues or anything.

The E303 is definitely a small cam, but it works well in combination with twisted wedges. That, and the F303--if you want a larger camshaft for higher up in the RPM range.

The stock H.O., E303, and F303 would be the only off the shelf cams I would run in any of my motors(if I had to). Otherwise, I'd go straight for a custom cam.

WHOOPS, not called the track heat. Just the twisted wedge with double springs.
Sorry, brainfart.

also, no one has said this; ones with double springs. I know you may only be running a lower lift cam, but for the cost (50-60 bucks) the upgraded springs are nice incase you go bigger.

Same head otherwise. I wish they would have been in stock when I got mine. The single springs work fine, but with 520 lift a little extra would have been nice.

He had a bigger cam in it, but it was floating the valves. So he took it out and out the B303 back in. Im not sure what cam it was, but I think he sold it. :(

It could have been a valve spring issue...

I had mentioned that, but apparently it didnt sound like something to check into. After he put the other cam in it, it was fine.

Thanks again MM. You guys are awesome. Now, if only the tax money would get here! Imma be rich for like 2 weeks. LOL
