Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo refreshed by AutoLavish

Off topic but...

Buy some of teh more popular cores from the junkyard or new. Sell on ebay with a core charge or exchange. Before long you will have a nice inventory and a booming ebay store if it works out.

I have actually considered that, I may really have to look into actually making that happen here soon.

Absolutely. Don't sell yourself short though: it's about the skills, experience and knowledge that goes into the job. Its very similar to our work. I'll never tell someone its impossible to replicate our work. It is hard to do it as quickly as we're able to with our experience. It's hard to know exactly what polishes+pads+machine you'll need to best attack your own car (we carry 6 different machines and over a dozen different polishes along with dozens of pads to each job). We use only the best stuff available, and that stuff is certainly expensive, but the main people are getting is the work done quickly, and to the highest standard possible without having to do it themselves. Guys will spend weeks on their cars and they might not be as good looking as what we can produce in a day. Never mind the danger of using the wrong chemicals or incorrect use of a buffer and the impact that can have on your car in more time and money.
We always encourage people to ask themselves "what is my time worth?" If you can replicate our results, but it'll take you 60 hours, maybe that's not worth it (especially if you work for a fraction of that time and hire us to do the work). At the same time, there are plenty of DIYers - something I really love to see guys get into. That is how both Jacob and I got started in this type of work in the first place: to care for our own babies.

If you're interested in some ideas for expanding your name / business, feel free to give me a friendly call. I'm still learning the business side of things (and the detailing side of things as you have to be a continuous student to stay ahead of the game), but wouldn't mind chatting with a car enthusiast and small business owner.

Definitly some key points you have there. My dad does show car detailing as a side buisness and he does great work, but let me tell you, you guys are fast and do great work on top of that. And on cars that these people actually drive, that is key! I may be givin ya a ring here some day!

Thanks Marc for the great job on my car. I will be getting in touch as soon as the new one comes in..:coolio:

Look's like you guys did an awesome job on this thing! Kind of off topic but is there anymore information about those tailights and the guy that did it, How much he charged or how he conducts buisness?

Send me a PM if you are interested in knowing about the contact, info, etc. The guy that did this is not a forum sponsor so I am assuming this isn't something to be discussed on this forum.
