Why would you put a Kenne Bell supercharger and a roll cage in a Shelby GT500?

Not to my knowledge. It would be tough to get an auto trans to handle all of the power that Shelby will make. She made over 900whp last year...summer '16 will be full of tire melting!

If I were to own a gt500; I wouldn't be opposed to slicks and a 3:73 or 4:10 right off the bat.

I have 4:10 in mine but have not run slicks yet. I did the rear mods for 15" wheels just need the rolling stock. Slicks are a good idea for these stick cars.

Nah, the coil of the sidewall soaks up the hit. I think drag radials can be harder on a stick car. It just been a while since I've "floated" down the track on slicks.

th400 and glide can handle the power no issue. There are a few auto's cars running around down in Houston.
