turbo ?

do you already have the head unit? If you can post pictures of what you're looking at it would help. If you don't have anything yet, but want to put something on your engine, give the engine details and what the application of the car is, this would be a good start....

if its free take it, otherwise who knows, that's not enough information to make a decision.

my buddy already has the kit on his camaro, but was just wondering how many lbs of boost he could push the kit to

supply the details that I suggested as well and it would help make a closer guesstimate. Engine specs help a lot, there are quite a few variables that help determine what pressure you can run.....
Best bet is to start small and move up from there....

well right now its on 7lbs spraying meth, and it put down 480 to the wheels. he wants to turn it up to 12lbs and was wondering if he could.

You can run it up to 100psi+ if you wanted to. What internals does the engine have? What is the actual size of the turbo? Can the valve springs keep the valves shut under that pressure?

the motor is an all forged 355 lt1 with ported lt1 heads, hot cam kit with upgraded springs. i believe the springs are around 380lbs open and 140 closed

Not really. Boost is just a measurement of intake restriction. Psi will change from engine to engine. On my engine of 260 cubes , i can run 30 psi no problem with my gt42-76 . On rajs car he could make more than 22 psi with the exact same turbo. Cubes and head flow is what determines the boost a turbo will put out.

To answer the original question, yes his turbo will go to 12 psi without any problems.

thanks, im kind of turbo illiterate. but im learning. have you ever messed with a blow thru carb? im curious about messing with a regular holley carb and making it a blow thru. what all is different

B arry grant used to make a specific blow thru carb. Floats are diff, jetting is diff , shafts are machined for o-rings, ect. Blow thru carbs are a pain in the ass.
