Turbo ranger

Well I started collecting parts from turbocoupes and getting pretty close to being able to swap the parts over. Basically it's just going to be a dd project to play with this summer a little. All I'm looking for to complete the parts list is an afr gauge with uego. I'll post some pics sometime this week. Should be fun.

I'll be getting a Volvo fmic this weekend and injectors should be in the mail tomorrow. I currently drive a 92 ranger but it's way too rusty to do all the work to it. But my Brother recently bought a tenn truck which is a 93 and now wants to sell it so I'm now selling my 92 to pay for this one. It needs a body mount, a leaf, and rear brake line and flex hose. After that's taken care of I will be throwing the tc manifold on and notching the heater box.

SWEET...Lots of pics !

Will do tomorrow when it's light out. Threw the good ole mark 7 bbs wheels on it from my 92 ranger and it looks a sweet now... Almost like all the dents dissapeared. I still have to get the t3 and boost gauge from rara friday. Once I get the turbo I will be able to size up fittings and lines so I can begin the installation process. Just hoping I can have all my ducks in a row so the install will go smooth within a weekend.

I'm hoping to be able to run just enough boost for a good 175 at the wheels. Eventually I'm going to lower it and go forged with more boost, a t-5, and 8.8

What kind of project thread doesn't have ANY pictures?

LOL! Sorry I was posting about my car on a video game....

Plans for the body are I'm going to clean it up and get rid of the gay pinstripes... I got my 36lb injectors in today. I went and got the t3 and boost gauge from Brian(rara, thanks btw). I pulled the turbo apart when I got home from work. Shaft play is a little iffy so I'm just going to play it safe and go ahead and replace the journals and thrust collar. Any suggestions on vendors who sell rebuild kits? Im looking to spend 50-80 bucks on a decent kit. I know of g-pop shop and some ebay places. So far I have 215 into the swap total. Tomorrow I'm going to pickup the volvo fmic(if homeboy answers his email) which will put the total at 245. Im shooting for under 500 total including some other maintanence parts. Paid 685 for the truck so 1100 give or take isnt so bad. I will be using a stock e6 manifold. It is the higher flowing of the two between e3 and e6.

Will do. Gonna spend tomorrow morning up at the shop put the fuel pump and body mount bracket in. Possibly a couple other things.

Little update pic. Went out to royal oak to get ONE intercooler and the ad on craigslist showed three and some tubes.. I get there and the guy says he's cleaning the garage I can take all of it for 30 bucks. I ended up using this saab tri core air-air because it fit perfect. He also gave me a huge volvo single core about the size of the radiator on my truck and he gave me a water-air volvo ic about 16"x12". Anyway, Here's the pic of the small saab tri core Im using for now.
