Turbo LS1 Supra

Here is some info on the car: I bought it as an unfinished project. It is a 89 Toyota Supra with a 98 LS1 and 4L60 trans. He had the shop wire the car with a painless harness for a 98 LS1 but he then wanted to use the 99 and newer PCM. I got the car this way and did a total repin of the harness to work on the 99 PCM. Last night finished the repin and started the car, the car barely runs and then dies after a few seconds. There is no mass air on the car and the computer needs to be tuned for this. Maybe that is why the car barely runs and will only idle for a short time??? I have a few other things to get done, like radiator, trans cooler, cooler lines, and alternator wired. Is there some one local to Macomb that can tune this??? I need to stay under $600 to get this thing running good. Who can help. It is very difficult to get a trailer, get the car on and off the trailer, it sits so low it hits the bottom of the car when loading and unloading, So I dont want to be haulling this thing around just for someone to say they dont know if they can do it for under $600. Anyone want to help me out?

Not sure? The car will start but runs horrible. Maybe still on. The PCM was ordered online and a donor vin was used, but not sure if the anti theft is off.

What did you do about the map sensor ?is it the stock sensor or a 2 bar ?

Ok I got the car to run good, but still only runs for around 5 seconds then dies. Does anyone know what this is? Also filled the trans with fluid and the car will not move at all, no forward or reverse. What could this be? PLEASE HELP!!!

Hard to say. Do you have to turn off the key to restart engine after it dies ? sure sounds like trouble with antitheft. Also if you have no MAF on the car it can cuase similar trouble. I would check shifter linkage and make sure there is a filter in the transmission. No filter no move.

how do you know its full if it wont run?
fuel pressure?

Because I put in 6 quarts started it a couple times and nothing. kept adding quart by quart trying it everytime and nothing. I got to 10 quarts and it was so overfull it started overflowing out the trans vent. Fuel pressure was 50 and I moved it to 58 psi.

I can restart without turning off the key but only runs for a couple seconds. Shifter linkage is working like it should. The guy I got the car from had a new filter installed when he had the engine and trans put in.

Get a drain pan. Disconnect a transmission cooler line. Start vehicle. If it doesn;t pump out fluid. Either it needs a filter or the pump is broken.

If it does pump fluid. Something else is wrong.

Thanks Sean. Apreciate your help getting the car to stay running. Let me get some little things done and I will be there for the tune.
