ok so im thinking strongly about buying that 89 turbo rs. posted in vehicle sales section if you havent seen. it has a 350 turbo and a t56 trans from a viper, he modded the input shaft to make it work and he has a 3.23 rear end and he is running basically 12 flat in the 1/4. my question is, what is a good solution for a faster 1/4 time because i was on the phone with him and he was saying that it couldnt handle a bigger gear because it already launches with wheels spinnin. he said he cant let the clutch out at any more than 2 grand on the tach. basically what im wondering is if he just doesent think that it can handle a bigger gear or if thats just what happens and you have to be a driver and you can run faster on a bigger gear. have an 86 iroc-z with a 427 and it has something around a 572 gear or some shit, but thats on a glide trans. runs 9s so how would a bigger rear end work out on that.
