Very nice Brad and I'm glad you opted for the cool little screen thing!

When are you going to bring it by and take me for a ride? Or are you scared I'll just put you to work like always? LOL you should see the car though it's VERY close.

those little cobalts are really cool, is this what you traded the Bronco2 for?

Yep. The Bronco II had a fun paint job but the front suspension needed rebuilt bad and it was really rusty so that wasn't going to be any fun. Even though when we painted it we ground off all the rust on the body and POR15'd it, it all came back. It needed the rust ground off again and paint touched up, plus it needed new tires. It was either spend what i paid for it to keep it on the road or get this.

PM SSpdDmon and see if he will tune it for you, he did his and with just that it ran a 13.6 i believe. i just raced him friday and he was spinning tires from a 50 roll.

No lift shift works great. At WOT it kind of stumbles and acts funny if you DON'T use it. So you get used to it real fast.

I really don't want to void the warranty so I kind of doubt I'll mess with tuning. The rev limiter needs a boost BAD though. Car is still pulling hard when it gets to the limiter. I've hit it pretty much every time I'm at WOT because it just doesn't feel like time to shift.

Modding the Cobalt? LOL. The Lightning got an accumulator body to firm up the shifts, but only when it was time to drop the trans pan to change the fluid anyway. It got the ricer tails removed ASAP, kind of like the Cobalt badges. I think if I could resist modding the Lightning for 5+ years I can do the same to the Cobalt.

You had it 3 hours and de-badged it.. what's next?

It took me a week to change the taillights in the Lightning, only because my dad worked at a dealer 2 hours away and it took me a week to get to my parents to buy them. I would have changed the Lightning tails in the dealer parking lot if the dealer my dad worked at had a Lightning in stock when I bought mine. Debadging is free and fast. Nothing is next.

THe only reason the Lightning kept its badges was that there are locator holes in the fenders and a big recessed area around the oval on the tailgate. Didn't see the point in taking off one out of 4 badges, that one might have locator holes too?

Looks really good, Brad! Congrats on the purchase! I know you said you were not going to mod it, but what about tint?

I de-badged my trunk too, except for the bow-tie. I have been contemplating removing that too, but kind of like it....
