turbo 400 yoke question

I've got a short shaft turbo 400 with a bolt on yoke out of a truck. Will a regular slip yoke from a short shaft turbo 400 from a car work on it? Is there anything I'd have to do to make it work?

It should work I have used a car yoke in a truck 400 trans in the past the only thing I did was replace the seal

A standard short yoke will work, You just need to make sure it does not bottom out. The short yokes are quite short... the smooth part is about 4" long?
The truck output shaft has a O-ring and a "step" on the output shaft for the o-ring. A 6-8" long yoke will hit the step.
Some companies cut the step off the output shaft when they rebuild them so any slip length slip yoke can be used.

if it has it, and you try to use a long yoke is the only time there is an issue, use a short slip yoke and you will be good to go

I think the one I've got is a long slip.
