Tunnel of Trees (M119)

This is just a short video of various sections of M119 between Harbor Springs, MI and Cross Village, MI, also known as the "Tunnel of Trees". The road was busy, but we still had a lot of fun..even met a really nice biker who was also enjoying the road and getting some good GoPro footage.

If you enjoy driving and are near Northern Michigan, this road is definitely worth it. Just try to hit it on a weekday when it's not so busy. The posted speed limit is 45mph, with many corners having a suggested speed of 25mph. A lot of people like to drive slowly on the road, which is only big enough to fit two cars side by side with very little space between, making passing very difficult. If you can catch it on a slow day it's great...if you have a ton of slow traffic it can be really frustrating. Great views either way, so definitely worth it!

 
I did this back in August on a Wednesday morning and did both directions. Hardly any traffic. It's a must do for anyone that lives in MI.

That is indeed, a great road! I did that back in July and it was a lot of fun. Hardly any traffic when I was on it, and we were able to take the turns pretty quickly in a WRX.

I have always said they need to close this off on a spring day and do time trials from the golf course to Cross Village, it would be a blast to rip through there with out any other traffic.
