"Tune only" 5.0 five tenths faster than stock...

So when a shop does a tune like this do they download your factory tune to a programmer like an SCT? Have you guys had a 2011 GT500 on the dyno yet or know what sort of gains could be had with a tune or tune and pulley?

Nice work, what were your 60' times?

I also think dynoing with the hood open inflates your rwhp by a bit.

Ya the 5.0's are weak.. They don't have any of those vintage pushrods or 400+ cubes like your arcadic ls motors ;) Ford decided to make N/A power with efficiency lol <3

Our first 2011 GT500 will be here next week for a pulley, air-box, and tune.. I predict it will respond much like the 07-10 GT500's and make 550-570hp

Also wondering about the difference in 60ft from your 13.2 pass ? Just curious how much was the tune and how much may have been from improved traction. The hp gains are still impressive. How long before you'll be selling tune for this on an SCT3 ?

I didnt mean it as a slam. I was just asking cause its what I'd heard is all and was looking for your professional opinion. And to the comment about the hood being open, if they baseline it with the hood open whats it matter?

Have you guys or anyone supercharged one yet? whats the limits on these things?
 
Awesome! Looks about on par with tune only Camaro's....I love it when the Camaro and Mustangs are neck and neck. Really makes things fun.

Was the stang ripping 2nd, or was that the other vehicles?

Ya it's a lot more fun when the mustang guys don't get pummled unless they have a blower. Finally they can put up a fight N/A... Yes that was the mustang ripping second, sometimes third on the street :) As for How much power the short block can handle. I'll tell you in few months. I never trust what I read on the internet! I only trust what i've seen and experienced. So i'll let you guys know when we have rods hanging out the side of this motor.. If I had to guess 500-560 is gonna be the limit on pump gas.
