Is your setup still low compression? If so I would convert to EFI and buy a blower for your car.

The are a couple blower kits on here that are good deals. An S-trim or a NOVI would be cool. If you feel froggy you could always buy SVTSINR's stuff and go TURBO.

Yeah, its 8.5:1. I'm on a tight budget to say the least. I would love to buy SVTSINR's kit and go with a blow through setup but again I don't have that kind of loot right now. Thanks though.:cheers:

331, c4/3800-4000 stall, weighs about 3000lbs, Not sure what it makes power wise but I'd have to say somewhere in the neighborhood of 350-400hp at the wheels maybe. I haven't had it on a dyno yet so i'm just guessing.
 
i have a 4.10 now with 26'' tall tires.......its not to bad cruising and although i have not made a full pas yet it doesnt seem like i was running out of gear, remember slicks swell as they pick up speed so the farther you go down the track the taller the tire get......go with the 4.10 you will be happy

Well, I'll have to find someone that would want to trade me a new 4.10 for a new 3.73.:thinkerg:
 
I don't know the gearing ratio differences between the AOD and C4 but I have a 4.10 with an AOD and 26" tires. I had 28" on it last year and it was too much tire. With a C4 not having over drive for cruising I would probably recommend the 3.73 in your case with 26" tires

Thanks for the advice. I know it will be a better driver with the 3.73 but I don't want it to slow down too much.

OK just did some comparisons and it looks like the first three gears of the AOD and C4 are of similar ratio.

So my next question is what are the cam specs?

My thoughts were 4r70w....or 4r70w gear set in a aod....best of all worlds installing a od trans, but not cheep to do v/s installing another gear.

My car is out of steam at 6500-6800rpm. It won't rev any higher LOL! Now I just gotta find a 4.10 to trade for and I'll be set.

I'm trying to go with as much new parts as I can but I'll keep you in mind if I get some extra money. I would really like to find a nice built rear already done so I can just bolt it in but I just missed out on the one that was for sale on here. I missed it by a few minutes! Oh well.
