Trying to Decide....

I've been trying to decide on what gear to swap over to in my car and I just can't seem to decide. I currently run a 4.56 which is way too much for my motor but I don't want to swap gears just to go out and run a few tenths slower. I have access to a new 3.73 which would be great for cruising and such but would most likely hurt my times at the track rather than help them. I know a 4.10 would probably be my best bet but I had 28 inch tires on it last year with the 4.56 and now I have 26 inch tires on it. I know that with the 28's on it the 4.10 would be perfect, but the 26's with the 4.10 would kind of put me back in the same situation I was in. I was running out of gear at about the 1/8th mile mark last year(maybe just a hair after). Would the 3.73/26 inch tire combo be what I need to power through the traps or would it just slow me down a too much??? I know it would be a great driver with the 3.73 but I just hate the thought of spending the cash on getting the gear installed only to go out and run slower. So the question remains....3.73 or 4.10???? I've asked this before but i'd like to hear some thoughts on this again before I make my final decision.

(The 3.73 would be nice down the road if I ever decide to strap a blower on it. Thats been the more appealing option lately...)

put the 3.73 in it and if you lose any put alittle gas on it to make it back up

LOL! I know. If I put any kind of power adder on my car its gonna be a blower. I'd like to run about 8 or 9 psi and see what she can do! That wouldn't be for a while though.

a blower whold be nice but the hit of a 200 shot is a rush but i never ben in a blower car so that i dont know your car will like the jug

I've been in a blower car and its awesome! I like it better than NOS but thats me. I know spray would be nice too but I just sold a nice kit and I don't wanna go lookin' for another one. Hell, some flat top pistons and a bigger cam would do wonders for my car but I am low on the dough, ya' know?

should have put that kit on the car but if money is tight you got to sell stuff o well we will see what the summer brings
 
It'll run. It wouldn't bother me to lose against you.......Yeah it would! LOL!

dont let it bother you hell i lost all my runs last year i hope my luck changes :secret:well off to bed before the snow and i get to deal with the fucking ass holes that cant stay home in a snow storm
 
X2 on liking blowers vs. nitrous

Is your setup still low compression? If so I would convert to EFI and buy a blower for your car.

The are a couple blower kits on here that are good deals. An S-trim or a NOVI would be cool. If you feel froggy you could always buy SVTSINR's stuff and go TURBO.
