tryin 2 I.D. sbc motor with engine code...can anyone help

what i have is a small block chevy,tryin 2 figure out what year it is.....
ive found 2 differnt # on block
one is v0627tfz
the other is 14016379
the dipstick is on left side
need 2 order gaskets , wanna get it right the first time.....ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.......

actually, no, thats just the block casting, however, the 0627 in the stamping show as july(6) 27th(27)


V=Flint(Engine)
06=Month
27=Day
TFZ=suffix code, in this case, identifying a 1979 C-30/C3500 Auto Trans chassis

:thumbsup: gotcha I knew somehow it broke down the date just didn't remember which one it was. Thanks for clearifying Dave.
 
thanks alot 4 the info helped out alot..i was able 2 figure out month & day ,but couldnt find the TFZ...is there a website or somthing that i can look these up in the future ???? once again thanks 4 the help !!!!!!
