trunk mounted battery

my pcm didnt drop the tune once shut down.

I more meant the learned stuff. I worded it wrong after i re read it. I don't know how much of that relates to how it runs on a daily basis if you constantly power off the PCM. Or what it does to teh keep alive circuit and other related stuff. Cars are too complicated now...lol

COMPLICATED..yes. indeed. just got in late last night...will post up some pics for ya

here are some pics of my set up...well the most of it. I changed the placement of the shut down switch from the big switch (out the taillamp) to a normal switch and mounted into the rear deck lid. Dont mind the mess while I change it over. BUT you get the idea. I ran all wiring behind passenger side carpet and used stock grommets in the floor. Ran rest through passenger side wheel well and connected to lower core support and up to alternator shut down mounted in old battery mount area. need to clean up a few of the lose ends this weekend but other than that all is good.

Best to follow DOT/track specs and use quality parts. From there, your design will fall into place due to limitations. I always run an engine ground front to back for the battery, then frame mount a ground from the battery and retain a 3' or shorter distance for that frame ground. I use 0g fine braid and solder on each fitting for the entire configuration.
