:haha:
"if a luxurious weekend getaway with the wife is sleeping in the bed of your truck.........You might be a redneck"

that does look more appealing then sleeping on the ground though

I once made on for my roomates 97 F-150. It had a hard shell bed cover. All I did was open the cover and wrapped faux leather around the opening (left an extended part for the tailgate opening. Worked awesome camped out alot in it. (I almost forgot I got the thing sewed together by a marine parashoot rigger who owed me a favor):icon_mrgr

Why do you want one? Whats wrong with normal ground tent?
They are awsome, with my next truck ill probably own one. Camping out in the bed of your truck is a lot nicer than staying on the wet cold ground.. Plus you're a little safer from critters too. Pair that tent with the Bed Air mattres they offer and u'll be set.

Just assmeble a small tent and put in the bed of your truck. I'd recommend an 8 foot bed though.

OR you could just take the seats out of a van... My old van made an awesome bed when situation arose (if you catch my drift).

Put in a power inverter for a heater if needed run off another battery.

I want one because last time I went camping, the ground was fuggin COLD (west branch in late sept made for some low 30 degree weather at night). One time I woke up with my ground tent...and there were ants and shit in there. Not sure I will buy one, just wondering what people thought, and if anyone had one.

Those are a lot better then ground tents... My cousins use them when they go sledding or quading... They also use them for hunting...

yeah i think they would be great, at nascar this year it rained and everything got wet and muddy, that sucked.
