Truck almost stolen in Allen PArk

That's the money maker!

FYI the hill, where target is, is private property. Last I heard. The owners weren't doing anything for security. Why should the police patrol private property? They have been hit hard with layoffs and pay cuts and bullshit
I did not think the Police department should be patroling the lot (unless they have had 100's of cars stolen from that lot...which the 911 operator said has been the case!) We just called to make sure it was documented for insurance.

I thought that these newer cars were harder to steal. Isn't there a code key or something? Or are they just hooking the tires and taking off? I am getting bummed out by this because I was thinking of getting one when my truck lease is up next fall. Is there anything you could do other than keeping your onstar up to date?

Like anything, if they want it bad enuff, it will be gone.
and I believe part of it is the ease you can sell LSx parts...they would have been stumped at mine with all the Gen IV stuff on the top end :)

The big kick in the nutts is that its blue book is stupid low...even with under 50K on the clock.

I know all too well that thieves love those wheels and trucks.

I'd still like to have another one though.

I will keep a better eye on mine when I take mine out from now on.
I was told these trucks are easy to steal. There is no theft system on them. Just a factory alarm that can be by-passed rather easily.

I am thinking of selling mine.

Sure is!!!!! As far the trucks being. tolen its bs, since police is always on Southfield freeway they should put it together and realize the thieves jump right on and go north to the hood. They should spend a day and stop all tbss and sss goin north on Southfield freeway, can be frustrating bit I won't be surprised they catch something
G.T.F.O. are you really trying to say there are no thieves in the suburbs. Or people commiting insurance
Fraud. Its way deeper than "the hood".

No there are plenty.. What he is saying is that based on current statistics on theft in that shopping complex, a lot of the people are coming from the city of detroit to commit theses crimes.. You also get a handful of people from Allen park, melvindale, dearborn, taylor, dbh commiting the thefts too, but if you review the public police blotters, 90% are from detroit.

LMAO (G.T.F.O), oh I'm sure there are thieves everywhere. But in that area there is alote of theft from home to vehicle break ins. And as far as "the hood" seems like everyone calls that detroit area the hood, from the ppl that live in Detroit to the ppl that don't. Like I said its a home stretch for the get away, Allen Park, and Dearborn police can confirm this.
