its a v6. i replaced the altenator, it has the optima outta my mustang in it. it sometimes doesnt wanna start. yet if it does start it has a under power light on. and the car wont do nothing. wont rev, wont drive. nothing. i have no clue what it could be.

i does have a viper alarm/remote start on it. it was put on last year. or year before. and i dont recall this problem. yet i have been told that its the alarm. i dont understand that. but if so why all of a sudden? any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appriciated.

First I'd double check your connections to the battery, don't assume they're tight. If they are snug(again physically check), make sure battery is fully charged and take it to advance auto etc to get load tested.

My mom was told by a very good service garage that the alarm/remote start on her 2000ish malibu was the culpret of her PCM going bad, Guy told us that Chevy cars do not like remote starters put on them. I went to schol with this guy, and he has a very good reputation as a tech. ALthough i find it very hard to believe, he disconnected the remote start, and the car still runs to this day no issues since. Car had maybe 60K on it when it happened.
