Travis Pastranas New Years Eve Jump

what was so funny about last night, is how much they were building it up last night, and how perfect and undramatic the actual jump was..

side note: why was there a football announcer on the program? that's like having john madden announce an ice skating ballet..

I agree...espn couldnt find anyone better then that?
Hell, I would of rather listened to Streetbike Tommy, if mtv would of let him.

you say he takes life for granted?..id say hes livin life to its fullest..hes an adrenaline junky..and ill tell you what, id rather be filled with that then sorrow, worry, fear, pessimism, or uncertainty that 99% of the populatiion is filled with..hes takin advantage of the life he was givin..

when i base and bungee jumped, it was INSANE..the feeling of being totally unsecure yet in control was somethin i could do everyday..

jumpin off a 100ft cliff into lake huron and free falling for 3-4 seconds was fuckin intense..the feeling at the instant your feet leave the earth can only be felt

to bad there arent more people like him out there...

I felt the same when I went sky-diving! What a rush!!!

he is going to die.

As will you and I and everyone else. Death is but a natural part of life. :zstill_th

To demonstrate that the athleticism involved in stunt jumping is more nerve demanding than that of a pro football player.

I say GOOD FOR HIM!!

I agree. I find it unwise to demonstrate such a blatant disregard for your health, however, it's his body - and the part of me that wants to see him crash and burn so I can say 'I told you so' will continue to draw me to his performances, along with everyone else.

I've looked up to Travis since he came into the spotlight at age 14. I was 12 then and what he was doing was simply amazing in my eyes. I have met him on a few different occasions and he is one of the nicest guys ever. He may be chancing his life everyday but look at what he has done. Not only in motocross, but supercross, FMX, rally, and more. One of his newest tricks is just insane. I can't even begin to imagine how its even physically possible. When they show it at fullspeed at 1:36 its unbelievable!

how horrible that he takes LIFE for granted.

he needs to read the book Dr. G medical examiner just put out about
"How not to Die".

You mean it's horrible how he enjoys every minute of his life? I guess he could be safe and sit at home on the internet all day.

to each his own and everyone is entitled to an "opinion" I gave mine

Ya sitting on facebook all day playing mafia wars is a good way NOT to die. I swear your posts are always entertaining to me.

how enjoyable can that possibly be for him if he has night terrors? he doesn't sleep good. I guess to each his/her own. ...

Travis is a bad man plain and simple. He is a smart guy and talented guy. He may die someday doing what he loves and I won't be surprised in the least, he'll probably die from some freak accident though. My wife says it best, when he's on his dirt bike it's like it's a part of him. He has talent that most of us can only dream about.

travis is an amazing athlete always pushing the bar. My sister met him up north a couple months ago at the ralley car race, he was busy doing something or talking to someone and her being the bossy little chick she is walks up and says can i get a pic with ya and he was i guess really cool about it and he talked to her and hers friends for a while. And no i wont post the pic.
