Trans swap and car jumps in first

Yes there's a crank spacer on it. I can put in reverse without a problem the idle just kicks Down real low

I informed the person who built the converter it was going into a ls motor. And yes the fluid is full. It took 10 quarts. So maybe I need to pull the spacer out?

yes if you put a spacer onto the snout of the convertor i would pull that out, also check for gap from mounting pads to flexplate should be no more then 1/8 gap if there is more use some flat washer

Ok. Wish it wasn't a pain in the ass to get that out as in having to drain the trans and pull everything off. Hopefully this works.

harbor freight has a rear plug cap for transmissions, if it doesnt work then its something in the trans either way if that convertor was spec'd and made right for a ls motor and you used the spacer, the spacing would of been off and the convertor and trans would of eventually took a crap. do u have a shield on the trans?

Lol alright. I'm hoping I can just unbolt it from the crossmember and take out the drive shaft and unbolt the converter and just slide it back far enough to take the spacer out,

shouldnt be a problem, dumb question but did you make sure the convertor was engaged onto the pump all the way? 3 clicks?

I got the car taken apart right now. The spacer was jammed on the converter pretty good. I'm gunna put it back together and going from there.

Got everything back together and I put the rearend on jack stands and ran it through the gears fine but If I hold the brake and put it in gear on the jack stands it'll stall out so the problem still has not changed.
