trans bolt up question???

Can a sbc be bolted to a pontiac/olds/buick turbo 350? I noticed last night that the only bolts holding my trans to the engine were the two lower ones on each side. So after checking it out more I saw that none of the other holes on the engine lined up to the holes on the trans. Can it be done? Or did chevy change it's bolt pattern somewhere down the line...???

There is the chevy pattern and the BOP pattern. You can use an adapter: transdapt part # 0060

" 1962-up Chevy V8 to 1966-up Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Cadillac ST300, TH350-400 or 700R4 Transmission"

Its about 100 bucks.

I didn't see any adaptor in it and the open holes would saw that it's not there either...I think

Me personally. I would find a trans shop with a core and have them swap the guts from one case to another. Those plates are flimsy. I have personally seen a few mysterious pump seal and bushing fialures with them.
