I have a non expiring trailer plate with registration if anybody is interested. 50$ cost me 135$

it says 1995 custom trailer

thanks chris

that's why they just went to permanent, no transfers, you just lose it if you sell your trailer.............. you make out if you keep it more than 10 years or so..........

Trailers and trailer coaches are registered with a permanent, non-expiring trailer plate based on the unit's weight as of October 1, 2003. The new trailer plates are nontransferable. All trailer plates issued or renewed before October 1, 2003, remain valid until expiration.

I thought you leave it with the trailer and the new owner uses it?
I left mine on the snowmobile trailer I sold last month...

all you have to say, if ever pulled over is i borrowed trailer from a guy on motown and they won't mess with you.lol

Is there a law some one can find on the state website that says the plate MUST be transferred? As far as I'm concerned, it still belongs to the previous owner.

The new trailer plates are not transferable.
I tried.

SoS said I need to buy a new plate for my new to me snowmobile trailer.

If you never transferred the trailer registration into your name, it technically belongs to the last guy who did transfer it into his name.
