Trailer Insuance

I just bought a flat bed trailer. Do I need insurance for it? Is it covered under my trucks insurance? What about the car I am towing? Your help is appreciated

IIRC, trailer itself is covered, vehicle on it is not

Like Dave said, I think the vehicle on the trailer is covered by its own policy.

Hey, I work for a insurance company, if the truck has full coverage the trailer will be covered while being towed, if it only has liability it will only cover if the trailer hurts someone, like comes loose from the truck. Trailer is not covered for theft and vehicle on trailer is not covered unless it has its own insurance. I would suggest getting insurance on the trailer, I have a 28ft enclosed insurrance for a year for it is only 66.00. That puts full coverage on it.

does full coverage insure whats inside the trailer? Does that only apply to enclosed trailers? $66 is cheap insurance it seems with all the thefts

I have a 100.00 deductible for Comprehensive and 100.00 deductible for broad form. It does cover some tool and stuff in the trailer I dont remember how much. There has been a lot of trailer thefts but I would bet 75% of them dont have insurance.
