Trailblazer SS 3.5" muffler suggestions

I'm in the process of finishing up the exhaust on the truck and looking for suggestions on a 3.5" C/C muffler thats not going to get me pulled over on a regular basis. The truck has basic bolt-on's as it sits including longtubes Y'd into the stock exhaust (2.75" offset x 30" straight-thru muffler, no resonater). I picked up a used (matching) Stainless Works 3.5" cat-back minus the muffler and am having trouble finding anything with a 3.5" C/C longer than 14-15" with a non-baffled case. I'm afraid its going to be way too loud for the street (maybe not?).

I basically have 30" of void to fill.

30'' section of straight pipe, leave the resonator and cats. Crap, you don't have the resonator, nvmd it would be obnoxious.

Yeah, it's catless now with no resonater and stock cat-back. I've been pulled over in town with the wife and kids already. I'm about to just go with a Borla 5"x15 round and make the difference up with a piece of straight because I'm sick of surfing. I'll probably need to change it again after the cam and stall anyway.

Could always put 2 14-15" mufflers back to back, or Y the 3.5" pipe into 2 3" mufflers then Y it back into one pipe for the single tailpipe...
 
I've seen the Corsa on a few other SS's and it looks and sounds great. It's also about $700 more than what I paid for the Stainless Works setup. I'm leaning toward 2 back to back 3.5"x5"x14" and crossing my fingers that it's somewhat street friendly. I'll post a clip as soon as the weather breaks and I can get everything tacked up.

Make your own muffler...this is what I do for a living (in fact I was the engineer that did the factory system on your truck!) and its not too hard to make something that will work for you. In essence, the bigger the muffler (volume) the quieter the truck will be. Use your space and put a big muffler/resonator in there and it will quiet it down. You have to balance pressure drop vs insertion loss (measure of acoustic effectiveness of the system). If you need some help, PM me! Sean is right, you could find something off the shelf that would work. Make it a straight through design with a large volume and I bet you will be fine.
