Traction bars or ladder bars? Pro’s or con’s anybody?

:headscrat All right you street race guys I have a 2<SUP>nd</SUP> generation F body with an 8.5” 10 bolt posi with 4.10 gears although I will be putting 3.42 gears in it eventually. My tires are the week point right now but will also eventually be changed. What are the pro’s and con’s to traction bars verses ladder bars if any. Thanks for your input.
 
Me personally, I would run a ladder bar or a four-link with coil overs setup over a leaf/traction bar or even a leaf/traction bar/torque arm setup for drag racing.

Ladder bar pros
weight
tuning
robustness
setup
anti-roll bar isn't really needed

Cons - more expensive probally

another option ive heard alot of good things about is the slide-a-link by competition eng. and cal-tech bars they both put the leaf spirng in tention on accel, but cost a little more then the normal "slapper" bars
 
If you're nostalgic go get some Caltracs keep the leaf spring. Doesn't make sense in my mind though. I would ditch the whole u-bolt / leaf / double torque arm idea and go with a coilovers & a 4-link or ladder bar.

leaf springs make me wanna get an F-body
