las tnight on woodward my 347 fox w/c4 started getting noisy and i thought maybe the exhaust was a little loose or getting that way, then the noise got really loud, more like a rattle.i thoght iw was my mac prochamber but ther's nothing inside the chamber to break loose and cause rattle.not wanting to ruin anything i had it towed home and there's no noise today when i had it up on jack stands and went thru 1,2,3.myguess is torque converter and its a performance automatic 10 inch with 3500 stall.any ideas as to something different?

Separator plate between bellhousing and engine? Make sure that is bolted down, all around, and check the starter fasteners. Also check exhaust clearance to body and the hangers, when exhaust heats up - it expands and sometimes the hangers and/or pipe contact making noise (may see witness marks).

i think i'll just take it out and make it a fall project.not looking forward to it laying on my back.if anyone knows a reasonable shop i might just take it in.cash right now is slim and a 3500 stall might cost bet 500-700 excluding labor.if i do it myself i need to buy a trans jack.

looks like a nut is missing,i just ordered some from jegs and will replace them all.i'll bet thats the problem ! thanks !!
