jets have amazed me my whole life. flying in a jet like that is def on my list to do before i die. i hope one day i get the chance.

Baddest thing on the planet hands down. I watched a Blue Angels show in Traverse City back in 1998 during the Cherry Festival. They were doing low fly by's over Lake Michigan, and it was wild. The water makes a killer noise as it gets picked up into the air.

I wish I had a video I took from Afghanistan when a Harrier did a fly-by for us. Nothing like experiencing it in person... Those pilots are awesome
 
fly bys are the best!! the one at the red bull air races in detroit was sick- under the canada bridge then almost blew out all the windows in the GM building

I loved the KC-135 one (I think that's what that was, although I didn't see the fuel boom). Taking something like that down to the deck must have been quite the butt-pucker moment.

I was there for that weekend too! It was cool to see them. I didn't have a good vantage point to see everything over the water though.
 
Sweet video.

That reminds me of when my ex-boss told me a story about how he accidentally killed a guy flying his F-86 on a low pass over some supposedly abandoned hill terrain in Texas. I never could picture exactly how low he must have gotten :jawdrop2:
